I got to spend time with three beautiful, asylum-seeking families and their children recently in Tucson, Arizona. They are in a safe home, the kids attend school, and they are thriving. It was a boost to my faith in humanity!
They are not giving up hope for justice, and the community is rallying around them. They will keep up the journey towards freedom from the violence they escaped. I believe we all spread love through small communal acts we support together.
When we heal women, we heal communities.
Love changes how we navigate through political polarization, economic uncertainty, and destabilizing wars. Grounded in love, we know we can be a source for creating good in this world.
We celebrate the resilient women of Casa Cardo and the growth that is to come.
